About Holi
Holi, the festival of colours, welcomes spring and celebrates the triumph of good over evil from the story of Prahlad and Holika. On the night before, people light the Holika Dahan bonfire.
On Holi day, friends and families play with gulal (coloured powder) and water, dance to music, and share gujiya, thandai and other sweets. It's a day to forgive, meet everyone and start fresh.
