Terms of Service

“K2 Web”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the K2 Web website and the person who runs it, based in Pune, India. “You” means anyone who visits or uses the site, its tools or its extensions.

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the site with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

If you use the site for a company or organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

• Free online tools such as the screenshot editor. Most run entirely in your browser, so the files you open are not uploaded to us.
• Browser extensions (when available), which have their own store listing and may have extra terms.
• Website services (Webflow, Framer and custom development). Any paid project is governed by the written quote, proposal or agreement we send you. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins for that project.
• Forms to contact us, join an email list or suggest an idea.

Some tools have their own Terms of Use and Privacy notice (for example, the Screenshot editor Terms of Use). Those apply in addition to these terms. If they conflict, the tool-specific terms apply to that tool.

When you use the site, you agree that:

• You are solely responsible for any file you open, any content you create and how you use, share or publish it.
• You have the right to use every file, image, text or other material you work with.
• You will follow all laws that apply to you, in India and wherever you are.
• You will follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which lists what is not allowed.
• You will not present content you edited with our tools as original, unedited or official when that could mislead anyone.
• The information you give us in forms is true and is yours to share.

You must never use K2 Web or any of its tools to commit fraud, forge documents, impersonate anyone, deceive people, or break the law. We do not support, allow or accept responsibility for such use.

The full list is in the Acceptable Use Policy. Breaking it may be a criminal offence. We may block access and cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires or permits.

The site, its design, text, logo, code and tools belong to K2 Web or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the tools for their intended purpose, but you may not copy, resell, frame, reverse engineer or redistribute the site or its tools without written permission.

Your content stays yours. Because our tools process files in your browser, we don't receive or claim any rights in the files you edit.

Fonts and open-source libraries used by the tools remain under their own licences (for example the SIL Open Font License and the Apache License).

If you send us an idea, suggestion or feedback, you allow us to use it freely, without payment or credit, and you confirm it does not include anyone else's confidential information.

The site and all tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, security and non-infringement.

Tool results (such as detected text, matched fonts or colours) are automatic and may be wrong. Check every result before you rely on it. See the Disclaimer.

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

• K2 Web is not responsible or liable for how anyone uses the site, its tools or anything created with them, including any fraud, forgery, impersonation, deception, harassment, defamation, infringement or other unlawful act by a user.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, reputation or opportunity, even if we were told such loss was possible.
• We are not liable for problems caused by your device, browser, internet connection or third-party services.
• Our total liability for any claim about the free site or tools is limited to INR 1,000. For paid website projects, it is limited to the amount you paid us for that project in the 3 months before the claim.

Some laws don't allow certain limits. In that case, these limits apply as far as the law allows.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless K2 Web from any claims, losses, damages, penalties, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your use or misuse of the site or tools, the content you create, your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of any law or anyone's rights.

We may change, pause or stop any part of the site or any tool at any time, without notice. We may block or restrict anyone's access if we believe they have broken these terms, the law, or put others at risk.

The site may link to or use third-party websites and services. We don't control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site.

Before taking legal action, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

• If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
• If we don't enforce a right straight away, we don't give it up.
• These terms, with the policies they link to, are the full agreement between you and us about the free site and tools.
