Screenshot editor Terms of Use

The Tool detects text in an image, estimates its font, size and colour, and lets you edit, add or remove text. It runs in your browser. Results are automatic and approximate.

You may use the Tool for lawful, honest purposes, for example:

• fixing spelling or wording in screenshots of your own app, website, design or content;
• creating mockups, tutorials, presentations, portfolios or marketing graphics that are clearly your own work;
• translating or updating text in images you own or are allowed to change;
• hiding your own personal details before sharing a screenshot.

You must not use the Tool to create, alter or fake any image that could be taken as a genuine record, proof, document or message, or to deceive, defraud, impersonate or harm anyone.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Money and transactions

• UPI, bank, wallet, card or crypto payment screenshots, transaction IDs or payment confirmations;
• receipts, invoices, bills, quotations, refund or order confirmations, delivery proofs;
• bank statements, account balances, salary slips, tax, GST or loan documents;
• trading, investment or crypto profit screenshots, sales figures or business dashboards shown as real.

Identity and official documents

• Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence, voter ID, visas, or any government or employer ID;
• degrees, mark sheets, certificates, offer, experience or relieving letters;
• medical reports, prescriptions, fitness or leave certificates, test or vaccination results;
• agreements, court orders, legal or police notices, stamps, seals, signatures and letterheads;
• tickets, boarding passes, booking confirmations and passes.

Messages, people and public information

• fake or altered chats, emails, SMS, call logs, social media posts, comments, reviews or ratings presented as real;
• screenshots that impersonate a person, company, brand, government body or public figure;
• altered news, announcements, official notices or public statements;
• content meant to harass, threaten, blackmail, defame or embarrass anyone;
• fake evidence for any dispute, complaint, insurance claim, court or police matter.

Other

• removing watermarks or copyright notices, or editing images you don't have the right to change;
• any use that breaks the law in India or in your country, or helps someone else do so.

If you share an edited image where people might think it is original or unedited, you must make clear it has been edited (for example, by marking it “edited”, “sample” or “mockup”). Never present an edited image as an official or authentic record.

By using the Tool, you confirm and agree that:

• you own the image or have permission to edit it;
• you alone are responsible for every image you create with the Tool and for how it is used, shared or published, by you or anyone you give it to;
• you will check every result yourself, as detection and font matching can be wrong;
• you will comply with all applicable laws.

The Tool processes images on your device. K2 Web does not receive, see, check, store or approve the images you edit, and has no way to control how they are used.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, K2 Web:

• is not responsible or liable for any image created with the Tool or any use of it;
• is not liable for any fraud, forgery, impersonation, deception, defamation, harassment, infringement, financial loss, damage to reputation, legal claim, penalty or other consequence arising from any user's use or misuse of the Tool;
• does not verify, endorse or vouch for any image made with the Tool;
• gives no warranty that the Tool is accurate, error-free, secure or always available.

Our total liability for anything related to this free Tool is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold K2 Web harmless from any claim, loss, damage, penalty, cost or expense (including legal fees) arising from images you create with the Tool, your use or misuse of it, or your breach of these terms or any law.

Making or using forged documents, false electronic records or fake evidence, and cheating or impersonating others, are criminal offences under Indian law, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, and under the laws of most other countries. Penalties can include fines and imprisonment.

If we learn of misuse, we may block access to the Tool and, where the law requires or allows, share the limited information we hold (for example, messages sent through our forms) with law enforcement and cooperate with their investigation.

The Tool is free and may change, pause or stop at any time. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
