In short
- Your image is processed on your device and is never uploaded to us.
- We don't store, see or keep copies of your images or edits.
- The Tool downloads its own code, fonts and language data, which your browser may cache.
- The only data we receive is what you send through the “Need help?” form.
01Your image stays on your device
When you open, paste or drop an image, it is read by your browser and processed locally, including text detection and font matching. The image and your edits are not uploaded to K2 Web or any third party. When you close or reload the page, they are gone unless you downloaded them.
02What the Tool downloads
To work, the Tool downloads its text-recognition engine and English language data from the jsDelivr CDN (or our website if the CDN is unavailable), and a set of open-licence fonts from our website. These files contain no personal data, and your image is never sent. Your browser may keep them in its cache or IndexedDB storage so the Tool loads faster next time.
03Clipboard
The Tool only reads your clipboard when you paste an image yourself (Ctrl+V), and only writes to it when you click “Copy image”.
04No tracking
The Tool doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and doesn't record what you type or edit.
05Help form
If you send a message through the “Need help?” form, we receive your name, email, optional phone number, topic and message. We use it only to reply, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please don't include sensitive personal data or copies of private documents in your message.
