In short
- The file is made in your browser.
- If you load an existing robots.txt, our server fetches that public file for you.
- We don't save what you enter.
01How checking works
Browsers can't read other websites directly, so when you check a site, our server requests the public files and pages needed (for example robots.txt, sitemap.xml or the page itself) and passes them to your browser. Our requests identify themselves as “K2WebTools” and come from our hosting provider, not from you.
We don't store the addresses you enter or the results. Our server keeps a short-lived count of requests per IP address to prevent abuse, and our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs for a limited time.
02Help form
If you use the “Need help?” form, we receive the details you enter (name, email, optional phone, topic and message) and use them only to reply, as described in our Privacy Policy.
